The insurance industry has a distribution problem. Tens of thousands of professionals — real estate agents, mortgage brokers, financial advisors — already have the client relationships and trust to sell insurance. They're already in the room when their clients need a homeowners policy, a renters policy, an auto policy. But they give the commission away because the infrastructure to write policies independently didn't exist for them.

On the other side, captive agents are trapped in contracts that give them a fraction of the commission and zero ownership of the book they built. Going independent has always been the right economic decision, but the operational friction — carrier appointments, compliance, technology, E&O insurance — made it impractical for most.

Alvara removes that friction. We provide the carrier appointments (40+ and growing), the quoting and binding technology, the compliance infrastructure, and the E&O coverage. Producers keep 80% of the commission and own their book from day one.

We're not an insurtech trying to replace agents. We're a brokerage that makes it possible for more people to become agents — people who already have the clients but didn't have the tools.
